One of the most common struggles faced by parents while planning for a baby and after the baby arrives in their homes is- How do we make the house child friendly and safe for them? We feel you, and thus we are here with some super easy and helpful tips which may help you turn your house into a kid welcoming and a baby-friendly place. Because, we all want our babies to enjoy the home which we have built so passionately for the family to co-exist!

MAKE SURE YOUR FURNITURE HAS SOFT EDGES:
The home which the parents have built with so much affection to welcome the baby needs to be modified if the furniture has sharp edges. Babies love to explore and as a result, bump into things. While we cannot stop their bumping all the time, we can make sure that they do not hurt themselves while doing so. Thus it is always recommended to buy furniture with soft edges so it becomes safe for the baby to roam and bump as much as they want.

GIVE YOUR KIDS A SPACE OF THEIR OWN:
If you and your partner are working professionals and want to avoid getting your important work into any mess by the baby, create a space dedicated to your child. This will keep him confined into his or her own space and prevent him or her from entering into your counter. You can be very creative and colourful while decorating a space for your baby by placing toys, posters etc.

KEEP THE PRECIOUS PRESERVED:
We all have something which has been gifted or which we have brought and we make sure we do not damage it or break it at any cost. So preserve the gifts and precious accessories you have by putting them away in a closet or a closed storage space where they will be safe and not be damaged.

HAVE ABUNDANT CLOSED STORAGE SPACES:
It is but natural that we need to put some stuff away which is either unnecessary or harmful for the baby when they wander around the house. So make sure there is ample amount of storage space available in your home so you can put off any stuff which you do not need. This will not leave you frustrated over a particular area getting messy with the stuff you put away.

PROTECT THE SOCKETS:
One of the major concerns while baby-proofing your house is electrical sockets. Some electrical outlets in the house are located at a lower level on walls, which the babies can easily access and hurt themselves. But worry not dear parents, as there are socket covers which cover the electrical outlets of your house. They can be available readily on online platforms. This will ensure that there is no passage of current if anybody touches the sockets.

ONE HAND DISTANCE AWAY FROM WINDOWS:
As we all know how adventurous children can seem when they are growing up, we as parents need to ensure complete safety when it comes to windows. If your window has no grills, you need to be extra-cautious. Try to keep your baby’s sleeping area and other daily-use furniture away from the window. You can try to install grills if convenient for you.
